History
Ai Applied has been founded in 2007 after the founders realized a market existed for advanced technologies, offered on a scale that would allow small and medium-sized businesses to profit from the competitive advantages given by the use of AI-based systems. From their academic background at the University of Amsterdam's Artificial Intelligence departement, the founders were in touch with the cutting-edge developments in the field of Artificial Intelligence, while their freelance work as IT professionals provided the needed experience in the delivery of production systems and project management. They saw that the majority of applications of AI were being offered by large corporations, in the products intended for use by large corporations, against an expensive licensing model - and decided to do it differently. This led to the creation of Ai Applied, and the exciting and productive projects and products realized until now.

Operating procedure
The partners in Ai Applied are experienced in CIO-level IT and project management, systems design, infrastucture design, information modelling, and consultancy on a strategic and a practical level, while having an academic background in Artificial Intelligence. Supporting the partners, there is a large international network of associated experts, that includes acadamic personel and software development teams. These experts are used on a per-project basis, allowing Ai Applied to always have the right know-how and the right hands on the project, while keeping the overhead costs low, resulting in a competitively priced offering. Amongst other parties we have a strong collaboration with the University of Amsterdam.
